‘Doggies’ Disturbing
Opinion
I don’t really get into NRL, but occasionally I watch the NRL Footy Show (I’ve no idea why). Over the last few weeks I’ve seen something I find disturbing (no doubt others will think I am part of the nanny state). People are encouraged to do a ‘Doggies’ symbol, a show of support for the Bulldogs. It’s a symbol people are encouraged to do, in the same way they are encouraged to do the ‘T’ sign for Today, or ‘That’s Gold’ for the Footy Show. Kids mums, sisters, anyone is encouraged to do it.
The only issue is that the symbol they are being asked to do is a simulated act of having a sex with a woman from behind ‘doggy style’. I don’t know if this is a joke The Footy Show is trying to play on everyone, but if it is it’s pretty lame.
The attached clip has a bit of it, but if you want to watch kids simulate having doggy style sex and be encouraged for doing so, then watch The Footy Show on Thursday nights.
